By accessing or using RateMyWings.ca ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
RateMyWings is a platform that allows users to rate and review chicken wing flavours at restaurants. We provide information about restaurants, deals, and user-generated ratings.
3. User Accounts
When creating an account:
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must not share your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this service
4. User-Generated Content
When you post ratings, reviews, or photos:
- You retain ownership of your content
- You grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the Site
- Your content must be truthful and based on actual experiences
- You must not post fake reviews, spam, or promotional content without disclosure
- You must not post content that is defamatory, obscene, or illegal
5. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
- Use automated systems (bots) to access the Site
- Scrape or copy content without permission
- Impersonate other users or businesses
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Interfere with the security of the Site
6. Business Listings & Claims
Restaurant owners may claim their listings:
- We verify claims to the best of our ability but cannot guarantee accuracy
- Claimed businesses may edit their information subject to our verification
- Paid subscriptions provide additional features but do not guarantee removal of negative reviews
- We reserve the right to remove or modify listings that violate our policies
7. Payment Terms
For paid subscriptions:
- All payments processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
- Refunds available within 30 days if you're unsatisfied
- Chargebacks without cause may result in account termination
- Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
8. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by RateMyWings and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF RESTAURANT INFORMATION, DEALS, OR USER REVIEWS. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FOOD QUALITY, SAFETY, OR SERVICE AT ANY RESTAURANT LISTED.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RATEMYWINGS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RateMyWings from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Saskatchewan.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
